Ritsuko Taneda (種田律子 Taneda Ritsuko?) is a Japanese musician currently serving as bassist for pop punk group Shonen Knife. She toured with the band off and on for two years prior to 2008. When Atsuko Yamano, one of the band's founding members, decided to step down in 2008, Taneda was made permanent bassist for the band.[1] Taneda was also a guitarist/vocalist in J-Pop groups Keihan Girl and Denki Candy prior to her involvement with Shonen Knife.
